First meeting of the Calasanzian Family Coordination Committee

On Thursday, January 29, the Calasanzian Family Coordination Committee met at the General House of the Pious Schools Order in Rome.

The proposal that emerged from the last Family meeting in November 2024 encouraged the creation of the Coordination Committee (Prot.S.397.2025), formed by Fr. Giuseppe Moni, C.Sc.Ch., Vicar General of the Congregation of the Schools of Charity (Cavanis); M. Marilia Evangelista Lima, Sch.P., Superior General of the Calasanziane Sisters; M. Katarzyna Śledź, Sch.P., General Consultor of the Piarist Sisters; and Fr. Ángel Ayala Guijarro, Sch.P.

After a moment of prayer in the room of St. Joseph Calasanz, in which we remembered each Institute of the Calasanzian Family and entrusted the work of the Commission to our founders and foundresses, we delved deeper into the task entrusted to us, based on the three lines of action that guide the work: animation of the Calasanzian charismatic bond, proposal of initiatives for encounter and formation, as well as possible common actions, fully respecting the autonomy of each Institute.

The closing of the celebration of the Centenary of the Calasanziane Sisters in Florence on May 19, 2026, with the launch of a Calasanzian Charism Laboratory aimed at the Superiors General and their Councils, the possible celebration of a new Family gathering in November 2027, as well as other possible initiatives coordinated by the commission, outline the synodal path we wish to follow as a charismatic family.
The commission will meet again in Rome on April 16.
